　Manufacturing Information Education through MES

Mini-MES is a compact MES (manufacturing execution system) for small and medium-sized manufacturing processes (mainly machining). Integrated management of production plans / instructions and their results. It also manages masters such as BOM (Bill of Materials) as basic data for that purpose.

Generally, there are many application tools for improving productivity, such as production simulators. In order to improve the simulation accuracy, in addition to the specifications of equipment and people involved in manufacturing, A great deal of information about the parts that make up a product, the process of producing it, the time for process, etc. is essential. If you call it master data in one word, “Who organizes the master data and how to input it?” “Who will maintain the information that changes daily on the spot without delay?” There are many challenges in actual operation.

The production management system, which is a higher-level system, is not good at synchronizing with information that changes dynamically at the manufacturing site. Therefore, the “Manufacturing Execution System: MES”, which is located between the higher-level system and the manufacturing site, is responsible for the mediation. By planning the introduction of this MES, we think that it is possible to standardize in parallel through the work of organizing the information related to manufacturing.

System Configuration

• Server / client model Web application

License system

One license is required for each server. There is no limit to the number of clients.

Equipment simulator function (option)

• Simulation and frame-by-frame animation of plans. Failure and defectives can be occured.
• Simulation results can be exported to a file. In addition, the output file can be imported as pseudo-actual data.

① Operation area　… change order selection, simulation start/pause/resume/reset, change speed
② Warehouse area　… Raw materials/parts (inputs), products/semi products (outputs)
③ Layout area　… Display equipments operation status, processes, and buffers before and after
　　　　Each user can create their own layout for this function (However, the positional relationship
　　　　and distance between equipments don't affect the simulation results)
④ Information area　… Display information about the selected objects, change its parameters
⑤ Ganttchart area　… Display the plan and actual results (simulation results)

• OS：Windows Server 2019/2022、Windows 10 64bit/11*
  　　* For Windows 10 /11, up to 20 client connections can be made due to the Windows 10 /11 license terms.
• Disk capacity：1GB or more

Client

• Browser：Google Chrome（recommended）、Microsoft Edge
• Microsoft Excel is required to display operation order file and customize the format
